The Senior Developer is a member of our Learning Experience team at American Airlines Training & Conference Center.  This team designs and develops digital learning by partnering with business units, instructional designers and learning architect teams, This position reports to the Manager, Creative Development. This position is responsible for designing and developing digital applications and tools in support of a variety of training and talent development projects.

  • Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assume a leadership role in determining the technical direction of the team
  • Support and mentor development staff in technical development
  • Create custom code and interface elements for digital media projects
  • Create custom code for applications and tools supporting digital media projects
  • Maintain expertise level understanding of evolving development technologies
  • Ensure all products delivered are technically excellent and error free
  • Provide support for training programs once deployed to the field
  • Contribute to internal projects as required by the manager
  • Complete other tasks as required by the manager

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Expertise in HTML/CSS/JavaScript/JQuery
  • Proficient in PHP/MySQL.
  • Proficient using BootStrap.
  • Proficient with SCORM
  • Experience with UX/UI Development and Design.
  • Ability to manage projects and deliver on-time quality products.
  • Ability to identify, adopt, and support evolving digital media technologies.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience developing digital media.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in Angular JS
  • Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, and DreamWeaver.
  • Experience with Tin-Can/xAPI
  • Experience with LMS Administration
