About The Job

This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division. This role will be part of a team that supports the application and desktop virtualization hosting platform running on Citrix.  The role will be responsible for designing and supporting a Citrix infrastructure utilizing XenApp, Xendesktop, XenServer, App DNA, and Provisioning Services.This role is responsible for participating in engineering and operational activities related to designing, implementing, and supporting of all desktop and application virtualization technology solutions that meet the needs of business operations.


Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Designs, implements, and supports Citrix XenApp/Xendesktop running on XenServer and VMware hypervisors
  • Designs, implements, and supports any supporting infrastructure
  • Provides documentation of designed infrastructure and services
  • Participates in creating and maintaining service roadmaps
  • Follows architecture and design best practices
  • Develops and adheres to IT and industry standards
  • Provides planning and support for existing platform
  • Participates and assist in product research, and recommendations
  • Provides assistance to other support groups, as necessary


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 3 years of Windows Server Engineering and Deployment experience
  • 3 years of Citrix experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • ​Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of Windows Server Engineering and Deployment experience
  • 5+ years of Citrix experience
  • Experience working in VMWare Horizon
  • Airline industry experience
  • Experience in design and implementation with Citrix XenApp, Citrix XenServer, and App DNA in an enterprise environment
  • Experience in migrating infrastructure and OS, Win2k8-Win2016, Win 7 to Win 10

Qualifications (Continued)

  • Working knowledge of VMware
  • Understanding of XenDesktop VDI (Storefront, Director, PVS, Studio)
  • Understanding of end to end communication, from hardware, software, network and user
  • Experience in Unidesk/App Layering and UPM/WEM
  • Proficient in authoring, editing, and presenting technical documents
  • Experience in Agile methodologies
  • Experience in supporting a DevOps environment using tools such as GIT, Jenkins, and Maven
  • Ability and desire to troubleshoot complex issues and explore details
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous technical situations
  • Knowledge of VMware a plus
  • Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, customer service and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups
