About The Job

This job is a member of the Network Tools and Assessment Team, within the Information Technology Division. The Network Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the daily operational duties for execution and delivery of DNS, DHCP and IP address Management across the enterprise network. Develop, monitor and report the appropriate metrics to measure DDI performance and availability and to identify necessary improvements in policies and procedures. Responsible for support/troubleshooting of configuration and layout of Infoblox infrastructure. Take part in weekly on-call rotations with other DDI team members. Work closely with other DDI teams, services architect and manager to enhance DDI operations. Ability to operate under deadlines, set priorities and handle heavy workloads with minimal supervision.

 

Specifically, you'll do the following:

  • Transforms the organization by leveraging and enabling automation, orchestration, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
  • Accountable for identifying, designing, building and implementing DDI products, having end-to-end accountability for customer satisfaction, delivery effectiveness and execution

  • Functions as a technical change agent and influences product direction in order to increase IT business value and simplicity
  • Serves as an advocate for business stakeholders into IT and helps evangelize the role of network engineering technology back to the business

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 3 years of experience in a highly technical professional environment
  • Working knowledge of Network Insight to ensure layer 2/layer 3 discovery services are operational and actuate
  • Exceptional troubleshooting, investigation and problem solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and mitigate DDI problems in an Anycast DNS environment
  • Solid knowledge in TCP/IP and networking protocols
  • Understanding on various Operating Systems Windows, Linux, UNIX, Cisco IOS, NX-OS etc.
  • Experience in Programming/scripting languages and frameworks, in support of automation (Python, Ansible, etc.)
  • Proven ability to build, cultivate and promote strong relationships with internal customers at all levels of the organization, as well as with IT counterparts, business partners and external groups
  • Understanding of Agile project management methodologies and tools

  • Strong experience with Active Directory and Bind DNS
  • Airline industry experience
  • Ability to effectively explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience
  • Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently
