Job Description

  • Acts as Operations’ centralized source for Government Regulatory Requirements (Code of Federal Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Foreign AD, and Notice of Proposed Rulemaking) Program Management, Overseeing multiple, complex projects and their resources to achieve strategic compliance in a safe, efficient and cost effective plan.
  • Provides technical insight to Engineering and other departments on Regulatory Requirements and compliance.
  • Analyzes, interprets and compiles accurate information in all matters related to Airworthiness Directives.
  • Analyzes and interprets Regulatory Requirements to implement into the Airworthiness Directive tracking system, to ensure continued compliance with the CFR’s, by providing the AD status reports.
  • Works independently as a Project Manager for the development, design and implementation of processes and procedures to ensure Regulatory compliance.
  • Advises senior management of Regulatory Requirements Forecasts and implementation statuses based upon AA schedules.
  • Researches and audits maintenance programs and reports related to Airframe, Powerplant and Appliances to ensure AA compliance with Regulatory Requirements.
  • Acts as a technical interface between AA and Regulatory Agencies.

Job Qualifications

  • BS/MS degree in Aviation/Engineering/Technical-related field or A&P certificate with extensive technical experience within maintenance engineering or planning
  • Must have working knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Ability to plan and coordinate major projects
  • High computer proficiency
  • Strong analytical and communication (oral/written) skills
  • Maintenance program analysis
  • Technical writing experience preferred
  • Proven ability to manage, plan, coordinate, and lead all aspects of interdisciplinary complex projects, including: aircraft scheduling, part deliveries, space availability, manpower, training, and team meetings to achieve Compliance, with Safety management paramount
