About The Job

This job is a member of the Payroll Strategy Team, within the division Finance Division. This position will be responsible for design, development, testing, implementation and documentation of accounting systems and related interfaces impacting the general ledger and payroll system.

 

Specifically, you'll do the following:

  • Assists with all activities for all payroll and related system changes and ensures conformance to Company standards, labor agreements, generally accepted accounting principles, tax regulations and internal control requirements
  • Gathers and documents business requirements related to accounting and finance payroll and general ledger activities
  • Assists to developed and perform testing impacting the general ledger related to the payroll system
  • Represents the department in meetings and through written and verbal communication with internal and external customers
  • Assists in identifying and documenting internal controls in support of auditing team
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Travel required, as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field or equivalent experience/training
  • 3 years payroll, accounting or finance experience or other related business field
  • Experience with system design and implementation

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP
  • Extensive knowledge of financial and operational controls, accounting and reporting requirements
  • Ability to read and understand multiple labor agreements
  • Understanding of SOX processes and documentation
  • Experience with business process documentation
  • Software development lifecycle experience
  • Experience creating and executing test scripts
  • Demonstrate outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Demonstrate outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under stressful situations
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, changing priorities with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels both verbally and written with all levels within the organization
