About The Job

​​​This job is a member of the Security Team within the Corporate Affairs Division. ​This position will be responsible for providing maximum protection of company premises and property and ensures employee safety by monitoring the electronic surveillance systems, emergency alarms and facility access points. Also responsible for contacting emergency services and dispatching security personnel as a situation warrants. Maintains a variety of security related databases.

 

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Protects the integrity of confidential information for all matters pertaining to company and FAA security
  • Monitors and operates all company electronic surveillance, communication and reporting systems
  • Receives emergency notification from various sources/locations and determines the appropriate course of action, according to established guidelines
  • Contacts emergency services to report emergencies and dispatches Company security personnel to the site, in the event an emergency is detected or reported
  • Controls and maintains door access to all Company Phoenix facilities
  • Monitors radio communications and maintains radio contact with mobile security units and other security personnel

  • Notifies Company tower and Phoenix Airport Operations of scheduled escorted Charter flights
  • Coordinates and dispatches Charter flight security escorts after all clearances have been received
  • Inputs data from Incident Reports and Corporate Headquarters/Hangar parking approvals and violations
  • Generates various security related reports including employee access reports, picture and access change reports
  • Receives requests from stations regarding shipments from U.S. Government Classified Couriers and notifies the origination and destination stations of the approved shipment, using the Air Carrier Standard Security Program
  • Researches passengers on FAA No-Board list; clears passengers and logs information
  • Maintains a variety of security related logs that document communications and security activities, (i.e. radio communication, parking citations, incident reports)
  • Insures department s document filing is kept up to date and the filing system is maintained properly
  • Trains newly assigned Security Control Center Operators

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • ​High School diploma or GED equivalency
  • Knowledge of Company and FAA security policies and procedures
  • Ability to possesses the highest regard for confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment while maintaining a professional and effective approach to high-stress situations
  • Ability to type a minimum of 25 wpm with knowledge of MS Office products
  • Ability to easily grasp the concepts and functionality of Company security system software
  • Ability to be self-motivated with strong organizational skills, pay strict attention to detail and possess excellent problem solving skills 
  • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA)
  • Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including holidays, weekends and days off
