About The Job

This job is a member of the Revenue AccountingTeam within the Finance Division. ​Responsible for performing basic accounting functions within various specialized Revenue Accounting areas.

 

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

  • Performs collections from current and former team members
  • Perform basic accounting functions (e.g. audit accounting data, refund claims, process/calculate check requests, debit/credit memos, journal vouchers, etc.) for various Revenue Accounting areas (e.g. payment received, billings, tickets issued/used, etc.)
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner, including correspondence with external contacts, when necessary
  • Complete data entry of accounting information
  • Read and interpret ticket tax rules
  • Distribute and store month end closing statistics reports
  • Perform a variety of other functions/adhoc projects as assigned by the immediate supervisor/manager to aid in the department's/company's achievement of goals and business objectives

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED Equivalency
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Logical, analytical thinking ability
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with internal employee customers

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous collections experience
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles/procedures
  • Customer service experience
