This job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for leading the team that handles adjustments, loan modifications, credit insurance processing, GAP claims, and credit bureau reporting/disputes.
What you'll do
- Lead department short-term projects with a focus on those with high member impact
- Supervise testing for core system releases and enhancements
- Assist with system and process changes required by regulation
- Manage Core System procedures for collateral protection insurance
- Participate in new product implementation as it relates to servicing
- Support front line staff with loan and procedural issues
- Maintain policies and procedures related to servicing and recommend enhancements to existing system programs, tools and procedures
- Process loan maintenance and related adjustments
- Assist manager with preparing reports on departmental achievements, activities and key performance metrics
- Assist with research, response and resolution of loan and related servicing complaints
- Perform other duties as assigned
- The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- High School diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance
- Three or more years of consumer loan origination or loan servicing experience
- Experience with AACU's current systems
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SQL gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
- Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and exercise effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management
- Ability to demonstrate excellent people management and employee engagement skills, including leading, developing, coaching and motivating staff
- Ability to supervise multiple team members
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and effectively implement change when needed
- Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and manage to deadlines
- Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
- Must pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
