This job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for supporting the strategic growth, performance, and ongoing optimization of the Credit Union’s checking account and credit card products. This Analyst functions as a product-focused team member, leveraging data analysis, market insights, and cross-functional collaboration to help ensure transactional and deposit-related offerings remain competitive, aligned with member needs, and supportive of organizational growth objectives. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support product enhancements, execute growth initiatives, and drive product adoption, engagement, financial performance, and strong member experiences across checking accounts, credit cards, and related payment services.
What you'll do
- Lead efforts to execute a comprehensive roadmap for cards and payments products, including enhancements to existing programs and features that support adoption, engagement, and growth initiatives
- Develop data-driven insights and recommendations to support product growth, improve member experience, and increase overall product performance
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to enhance product features, ancillary services (e.g., overdraft protection, rewards programs, fees), and digital payment capabilities
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics for checking account and credit card products, including member engagement, adoption, transaction activity, and revenue performance
- Support execution of product initiatives and enhancements in partnership with digital, operations, risk, compliance, and other cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with Marketing to plan and execute campaigns that increase checking account and credit card usage, deepen member engagement, and drive interchange growth
- Assist in the development and maintenance of dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools to track product performance and measure initiative impact
- Conduct analysis of member behavior, transaction trends, and product usage patterns to inform strategy and prioritization
- Support vendor relationship management by tracking performance, coordinating deliverables, and assisting with evaluation of third-party solutions supporting checking account features and payment services
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks within the payments and financial services landscape
- Prepare reports, presentations, and performance updates for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in product analysis, retail banking, or financial services
- Knowledge of credit card and checking account products, card usage, and interchange revenue
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Product-oriented mindset with interest in payments, fintech, or digital banking experiences
- Experience with reporting tools, dashboards, and data visualization platforms
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of card products, checking accounts, or payment ecosystems preferred
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and staff
- Ability to self-motivate with strong organizational and analytical skills and capacity for attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
- Ability to pass American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
