Overview

MAIN OBJECTIVES: 

 Plan, execute and coordinate sales activities and grow business opportunities through penetrating targeted market segment within the designated territory.

 Focus on developing new business relationship with key agencies and corporate accounts in Beijing and area beyond metro-Beijing.

 Develop market awareness and sales distribution in Northern China.

 

About The Job

Key Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to)

• Develops and maintains new business relationships with key agencies and corporate accounts to gain long-term commitments to AA.
• Responsible for revenue generation and building awareness of AA through strategic sales and promotions with assigned accounts, vendors, associations and foundations in Northern China.
• Penetrates targeted market segments for maximum exposure and revenue generation to build business relationships and gain long term commitments to AA.
• Focus on developing premium and corporate sales in Northern China by working closely with Sales Manager Northern China.
• Assesses sales opportunities and utilizes sales resources to maximize AA’s revenue potential.
• Makes recommendations concerning local advertising, displays, direct mail and other promotional material to support the sales effort.
• Manages any customer tender process when required, negotiating where relevant and implementing contractual requirements as per market conditions and customer specifications.
• Coordinates with Sales Support to ensure all contractual requirements are met and the contact details for key customers are up to date.
• Reviews Sales Support’s roles and responsibilities and manages its function for providing optimum sales and administrative support.
• Effective use of AA management information reporting systems (Panorama etc) to identify and recommend revenue opportunities to Sales Manager Northern China.
• Reviews and analyzes various sales performances and forecast reports and assesses revenue opportunities.  Identifies areas in need of improvement and propose actions in a timely manner.
• Prepares sales statistics and reports of local market to the Sales Manager Northern China regularly.
• Works with Sales Manager Northern China to develop business plans for key corporate customers and agencies.
• Develops the business plans for the targeted market segments within Northern China.
• Submit recommendations of measures to maximize sales productivity as well as effective use of allocated sales resources.
• Participates in business functions and meetings of the travel industry on behalf of AA, and represents country manager when designated.
• Reports directly to Sales Manager Northern China and supports development and implementation of sales strategy and initiatives.
• Performs ad-hoc projects as required

 

Qualifications

Core Competencies & Skills Required:

- Strong leadership and sales experience with exceptional negotiating skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously

- Willingness to work extra hours and travel when needed

- Excellent computer skills with specific knowledge of Microsoft Office functionality

- Highly self-motivated with ability to work independently and must be committed to teamwork

- Ability to adapt company initiatives to meet local market conditions

- Able to analyze and clearly communicate account’s revenue and share performance

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Excellent command English and Mandarin
