Intro

Role Description:

The purpose of the Passenger Sales Assistant role is to support and complement Account Managers and Sales Managers by providing supports and services to our most valued Corporate and Channel customers to strengthen their partnership with American Airlines.

What you'll do

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities (including but not limited to)

- Works, in conjunction with the assigned Account Manager, on a service plan, anticipating customer needs and preparing for customer objections. 
- Provides supporting materials and solutions to achieve service call objectives and positive outcome.
- Supports assigned key accounts and follow up on various requests, provide solutions and recommendations.
- Performs periodical proactive emails and calls.
- Provides Waiver ad-hoc exceptions based on the Global Authorization Matrix.
- Provides expertise and training, when applicable, in AA products and services, which are executed by service team.
- Supports QBR (Quarterly Business Review) deck preparations, date booking and other relevant reports when needed.
- Works closely with Account Managers to review territories, account calls and service planners.
- Participates customer visit, sales calls and other activities when needed.
- Use SalesHub to capture, track, resolve and monitor customer issues reported by customers, agencies and/or internal AA Sales Team members.
- Acts as liaison, with ATOs, Customer Relations and RM for escalated or VIP cases.
- Escalates ACM and ADM assistance for local Sales teams.
- Performs TAC management and fulfillment process.
- Liaison between Sales, Group Desk and RM includes group pricing, handling and follow up.
- Initiates and follows up on the BSP ticketing authority process.
- Supports local Sales administration tasks, including invoice submissions etc.
- Supports sales and sales planning locally as required for internal meetings/trainings and external meetings/events.
- Cascades B2B marketing communications to the trade partners.
- Updates the Agency Reference pages with latest local information.
- Performs ad-hoc projects or tasks as required.

All you'll need for success

Essential Job Qualifications:

- Proficiency in Sabre
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in local language
- Thorough knowledge of American’s full suite of products and services
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and individually
- Self-motivated and creative problem solver
- Self-disciplined and accountable for performing job functions with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work extra hours and travel both domestically and internationally when needed
- Previous Passenger Sales, Premium Services, Reservations or Customer Service experience is preferred
