Support the accounting responsibilities within the Accounting Office. The position works among cross functional teams to ensure the accounting activities are appropriately analyzed, processed and documented in compliance with internal controls, process and procedure and local country regulations. 
 

What you'll do

Key Responsibilities

  • To support the day to day oversight of the Disbursements and Banking activities
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and associated journal entries
  • To support various tax/statistical filings
  • To present results and follow-through to completion for all initiatives
  • To process invoices on time 
  • To be familiar with accounting policies and procedures 
  • Assist and/or complete misc. ad hoc projects as assigned

All you'll need for success

Essential

  • This internship is open to all university or Sena students currently pursuing an Accounting degree that require under the curriculum program an internship period of six months January 2024 - June 2024. 
  • Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office software (e.g., Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks 
  • Ability to deal with confidential subject matters
  • Ability to work flexible hours when required
  • Fluent in verbal and written English 

Desirable

  • Knowledge of tax laws and local reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of airline accounting practices 
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Work experience in an accounting environment
