  • A Bill of Work (BOW) Planner will function as the primary work scope developer for the Aircraft Overhaul and Modification (AO&M) product.  The BOW Planner generates the product by conducting research on the maintenance history for developing the BOW through review, interpretation and analysis of all maintenance requirements.  Successful candidate must be able to provide an accurate and executable BOW. 


  • The terms and conditions of this position are covered by the International Association of Machinists (IAM) Collective Bargaining Agreement.
What you'll do

  • Monitor AO&M repair/refurbishment process to effectively administer adjustments to work scope as required to meet schedule requirements. \
  • Maintain a review of the AO&M repair/Modification process to ensure continual compliance with the required specifications and coordinate changes with organizations involved. 
  • Execute and coordinate product information delivery to various levels of leadership through the use of available systems. 
  • Must identify deficiencies and problems independently and develop solutions for product team review. 
  • Successful candidate would use a wide range of data sources, both electronic and notes, and his/her own experience in the field to develop accurate and efficient work scope to produce an Aircraft BOW.
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  •  Solid background in Repair/Modification processes with respect to Aircraft/Engine Overhaul

  •  Ability to review and process large amounts of technical data to produce an accurate work scope

  •  A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and SABRE

  •  Familiarity with numerous cross functional areas in the Aircraft Overhaul & Modification environment

  •  Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off

  •  Excellent analytical, organizational and planning skills

  •  Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  •  5 years technical experience in AO&M, Technical Planning, and/or Technical writing

  •  Technical Degree or A & P License

  •  Ability to exercise sound judgment in making recommendations on information gathered/reviewed

  •  Flexible and capable of adapting to constant change

  •  Ability to work with all levels of management in communicating issues

  •  Cognitive skills to read and understand service bulletins, FAA Airworthiness Directives, Extended Range documents, and PPE Technical Instructions

  •  Ability to communicate clearly and audibly both orally and in writing

  •  Ability to prepare written instructions and reports

  •  Ability to prioritize tasks

  •  Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently

  •  Ability to work well under deadlines and high volume stress of project work

  •  Ability to work with minimal supervision

  •  Basic understanding of maintenance shop operations and the ability to apply that knowledge in completing assignments
