We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Recruitment Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the recruitment process by coordinating various activities to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process. This individual will be responsible for candidate scheduling, interview day support, managing candidate inquiries, and preparing reports.

  • Responsible for assisting the Talent Acquisition team with candidate management, scheduling, new hire on-boarding processes and projects related to attracting, hiring and retaining the best talent at American Airlines.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers
  • Manage communication between candidates and interviewers to ensure a seamless interview process
  • Maintain an organized interview calendar and update it in real-time
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completion of background checks
  • Assist in pre-boarding activities to facilitate a smooth transition for new hires
  • Respond promptly to candidate inquiries regarding application status, interview details, and general recruitment-related questions
  • Provide a positive and professional candidate experience
  • Prepare and maintain recruitment-related reports, including but not limited to interview schedules and candidate status updates
  • Liaise with hiring managers, recruiters, and other team members to ensure a collaborative and effective recruitment process
  • Communicate regularly with candidates to keep them informed about the status of their application
  • Coordinating candidate travel, interview scheduling and expense reporting
  • May be assigned internal projects within internal teams as appropriate

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year in a recruitment coordinator or similar administrative role 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Experience managing complex meeting/interview scheduling requests
  • Experience with large volumes of inbound and outbound calls and emails
  • Experience handling confidential information with utmost care
  • Customer service experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • ​Knowledge in recruiting and/or HR
  • Knowledge and experience using an applicant tracking system
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite experience; PowerPoint, Excel and Word  
  • Ability to work well under pressure and highly self-motivated
  • Ability to multi task, manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and work with partners in different locations
  • Ability to remain professional with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills customer focused
  • Ability to tolerate ambiguity and ability to demonstrate flexibility and judgement under pressure
  • Knowledge in  time management and organizational skills in order to accomplish numerous tasks and assignments
  • Strong attention to detail
