  • ​​​This job is a member of the Inflight Dining and Operations Team within the International Operations Division
  • Responsible for analyzing and ensuring accurate payment of catering invoices for all international stations. Acts as a liaison resolving issues with caterers’ representatives, AA station managers, onboard dining service counterparts and procurement managers. Also responsible for ensuring timely processing of invoice payments, exception billings and reconciliations as well as performing ad hoc analyses to verify caterer billings using Access, Excel, and CAE- Inflight. Set up and maintains/updates billing discount, port fees and taxes rate record in CAE-Inflight.

What you'll do

  • Provides regular updates, insight, and recommendations on programs to leadership.
  • Oversees CAE Inflight billing of all domestic and international caterers.
  • Oversees CAE Inflight billing for Catering security.
  • Acts as security administrator for CAE Finance module
  • Coordinates CAE Inflight CE Credits and recurring invoices
  • Supports new facility set up and maintains/updates billing discount, port fees and taxes rate record in CAE-Inflight
  • Performs system testing for any CAE-Inflight updates.
  • Verifies the CAE-Inflight to SAP account payable feed works properly.
  • Acts as liaison with AA Accounts Payable and Treasury department to support new vendor set up and billing system questions.
  • Conducts group and/or individual training sessions.
  • Occasional travel as necessary

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
•    High school diploma or GED equivalency
•    Familiar with Accounts Payable including familiarity with invoice validation and reconciliation processes.
 
Preferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or relevant field or equivalent experience/training
•    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and complex formulas for data analysis.
•    Experience processing a high volume of transactions with attention to detail and accuracy.
•    Advanced knowledge of queries in Microsoft Access is preferred.
 
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, Access etc.
•    Knowledge of advance Adobe PDF for editing
•    Ability to handle multiple projects.
•    Ability to learn new systems.
•    Ability to interact with other work groups, in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
•    Ability to use invoicing and billing systems (CAE, Coupa, etc.)
•    Knowledge of software programs used in extracting data and conducting quantitative analysis (Access, CAE Inflight, etc.)
•    Ability to assemble information, extract pertinent facts, build robust data models, draw logical conclusions, and present recommendations.
•    Ability to make independent judgments and decisions while taking ownership of job responsibilities.
•    Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
•    Strong time management skills
•    Ability to persuade and influence others while balancing multiple priorities simultaneously.
