This job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for managing all aspects of consumer accounts and loans after origination, including payments, modification and collateral. Also responsible for consumer lending ancillary product management and sales.
What you'll do
- Lead the Servicing staff to ensure effective support for front line processes
- Manage Core System with multi-department coordination for all forms of consumer loan payment processing, billing notices, and front line account and loan maintenance
- Provide strategic leadership and daily administration of associated consumer lending products, including pricing, product systems, front-line user training, and claim management
- Develop policies and procedures and recommend enhancements to existing system programs, tools and procedures that will improve process automation and productivity, as well as minimize the occurence of errors
- Manage day-to-day vendor relationships to ensure contract compliance, accurate assessment of premiums, claims processing, reporting and systems integration
- Oversee collateral and lien perfection and insurance tracking
- Oversee credit bureau reporting and dispute management
- Maintain a current knowledge of changing legislation and manage changes required by regulation
- Participate in new product implementation as it relates to Servicing
- Foster a culture that promotes teamwork, service excellence and relationship building
- Prepare departmental budget and monitor expenses
- Maintain a departmental plan for disaster recovery
- Prepare reports on departmental achievements, activities and key performance metrics
- Perform other duties, as assigned
- The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field, or a minimum of five years equivalent experience

Experience with lending products and processes

Knowledge of all Credit Union systems relating to relevant products

Experience with system management and testing process

Previous supervisory or leadership experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
- Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communciation skills and exercise effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management
- Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, continually changing environment while managing projects in accordance with short- and long-range objectives
- Ability to demonstrate excellent people management and employee engagement skills, including leading, developing, coaching and motivating staff
- Ability to improve organizational and departmental processes to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and controls while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Ability to self-motivate with strong organizational skills and capacity for attention to detail
- Ability to manage a number of third-party relationships
- Ability to work well independently or with cross-functional project teams
- Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
- Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
