This job is within the American Airlines Federal Credit Union. The role is responsible for leading strategic efforts to optimize membership strategies to meet performance and organization objectives, assisting with shaping deposit growth by leveraging data, industry and market trends and supporting data integrity initiatives. This individual will also oversee account underwriting for consumer and business deposit products and all related policies.
What you'll do
- Lead and support strategic initiatives of the Credit Union’s field of membership and membership growth efforts
- Develop, evaluate and streamline reporting of deposit and membership performance metrics to be aligned with strategic objectives
- Oversee and manage the deposit account underwriting process, practices and policies to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization
- Monitor and maintain the accuracy and integrity of membership and deposit-related data, collaborating with other business unit stakeholders
- Analyze deposit product performance and market trends, translating data into actionable deliverables for leadership and supporting product innovation; prepare and deliver concise reporting and performance insights to senior leadership
- Act as a cross-functional partner or stakeholder in deposit growth, data integrity and member engagement initiatives
- Design and maintain all deposit programs and membership-related reports using various systems and industry data to analyze and identify trends and performance
- Actively collaborate and/or drive special projects to pursue process and performance improvement opportunities
- Cultivate a collaborative team environment providing support and continued staff development
- Perform other duties, as assigned
- The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions
- Demonstrated previous supervisory or leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Previous banking or Credit Union industry experience
- Previous project management and product ownership experience
- Knowledge of deposit product operations
- Multiple years of data analysis experience strongly preferred
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience or education and hands-on use of the software
- Ability to demonstrate strong organizational, critical thinking, writing, analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Experience reviewing and analyzing product and channel delivery; knowledge of SQL preferred
- Ability to exercise creative problem-solving skills and proactively identify opportunities for improvement and effectively implement change
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the application of the core system, third party systems, related policies and procedures
- Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and exercise effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management
- Ability to demonstrate excellent people management and employee engagement skills, including leading, developing, coaching and motivating staff
- Ability to supervise multiple team members and foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Ability to demonstrate strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks that may involve competing priorities and perform in fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team
- Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
- Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
