• ​This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division.
• ​The Network Architect will be part of the Enterprise Network Services organization, working in a team of engineers and architects focused on hardware, software, systems level research, and architecture aspects of next generation networks. 

What you'll do

• Creates, designs and documents visions, standards, policies, patterns, architectures, and roadmaps for network technologies (Routing/Switching for DataCenter / Branch locations, Firewall Network security, Core Network architecture, Cloud network / Security patterns)  
• Creates detailed network designs that meet the customer requirements (including physical and logical) of complex network systems to meet the functional objectives of the business
• Leads, mentors, reviews and validates work assignments for architects and engineers while removing barriers that prevent productivity 
• Provides technical leadership to infrastructure and applications/systems development teams to advance infrastructure technology
• Utilizes knowledge of multiple technologies and platforms, provide technical design recommendations.
• Review design and development work, instructing team members as needed 
• Refines ability to combine knowledge of business environment with the architecture of technology solutions. Evaluates possible implementation of new technology, consistent with the goal of improving existing systems and technologies and in meeting the needs of the business
• Research, collect and disseminate information on emerging technologies and key learning throughout the IT organization
• Participates in early stage hardware & software architecture definition, and prototype evaluation.
• Maintains technology currency and liaise with the external environment to identify opportunities to leverage technology to the benefit of the business

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecom, Engineering, or related discipline with an IT focus is preferred or equivalent experience
• 5 + years of experience in network technology architecture and system design
• Strong network security focus, understanding and eliminating potential risks in architecture designs
• Strong presentation and communication skills, cablable of presenting to large audience members that can range from engineers to senior leadership 
• Strong understsanding of cloud networking concepts and architecures
• Capable of mastering new network technology, and be able to quickly provide guidance and architecture standards on new platforms and iniatives 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• 8+ years in large corporate enviornments building and designing complex networks
• Indepth network experise in Cloud networking patterns and network security controls

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Expert level experience in BGP / OSPF / SD-WAN / LANWAN
• Expert experiance in Visio/Diagraming, Excel, Documentation of network architectures 
• Experience working in Large Enterprise enviornments working on multiple initiatives at the same time
• Practical skills and experience with many application and infrastructure products, technologies, and services (Load Balancing / servers / Databases / Application architectures / Network tools) 
• Must be proficient at the techniques that go into the formulation of architectures, including requirements discovery and analysis, application of abstraction, formulation of solution context, solution alternatives identification and assessment, technology selection, and architectural configuration
