What you'll do

  • Develop and deliver initiatives to improve our Safety Culture across the organization
  • Utilizes previous experience and industry knowledge to identify risks and potential opportunities, while teaching and improving existing environment
  • Independently designs project plans for ambiguous issues and project manages large initiatives/programs through implementation; Synthesizes strategic options and defines KPIs and desired outcomes
  • Leads individual and group conversations with relevant stakeholders of all levels to earn buy-in, ensure project alignment and influence company strategies; Builds positive brand reputation and credibility for the team and team members
  • Facilitates any sized meeting with all levels to achieve pre-defined expectations; Drives stakeholder ownership of action items and next steps; Provides guidance to team members on effective meeting management
  • Ensure the Safety Management System is woven into the change management process
  • Represent and lead Safety & Operations Excellence team in working groups and special projects
  • Develop communications strategies and ensure messaging reaches the intended audience 
  • Lead the production of ad-hoc reporting

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training
  • 4+ years experience within the airline industry, safety environment, or relevant experience
  • Ability to travel approximately up to 50%
  • Ability to travel internationally as well as adjusting hours, shifts and days off to meet business requirements and workload demand

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Fluency in multiple languages a strong plus
  • Previous operations experience
  • Experience in successfully leading large projects across multiple organizations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, advanced Excel and Access skills preferred

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Strong organizational and analytical ability
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees within the organization
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
