- This role is a member of the Airport Operations Performance Analytics Team within the Operations Planning and Performance (OP&P) organization. As an Airport Operations Analyst you will partner with senior leaders, front line staff, and other operational business units to identify root cause and provide a data driven solution.
What you'll do

- Perform complex quantitative analysis on airport performance subject areas such as turn performance, airport staffing, baggage handling, and more to identify insights, create reports, develop data driven tools, and drive process improvement.
- Perform advanced business analysis using SQL and Python to develop prescriptive operational improvement plans.
- Automate and improve current programs, processes, reports, and forecasts using SQL, Python, and Databricks
- Understand the complexities of airport operations and interact with front-line team members to learn operational challenges and identify areas of opportunity.
- Build data visualizations to track KPIs, identify root causes, and highlight opportunities.
- Develop statistical predictive models on large-scale datasets using statistical modeling such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees and other machine learning, or data mining techniques.
- Work collaboratively with various airports and internal teams to develop innovative and insightful solutions to improve airport performance.
- Develop presentations and present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders and senior management.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Statistics, Data Mining, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics or related quantitative field
- 3 years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Master's Degree in Applied Statistics, Data Mining, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics
- 1 year of experience with SQL querying and/or reporting or equivalent coursework
- Programming experience with Python, optimization experience, aviation experience, or other related project history
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office software, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience pulling and manipulating data using SQL and/or other languages and tools (E.g. Python)
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving
- Ability to work effectively, meet deadlines, and shift priorities appropriately in a fast paced, dynamic work environment with great attention to detail
- Knowledge of data processing/manipulation languages such SQL and Python in large database environments
