What you'll do

- Must be knowledgeable in the roles, duties, and responsibilities of each of the operational jobs in IOC to guide software development
- Works in concert with IT Project Managers to develop detailed project plans on technology that supports IOC operations
- Manages IOC project plans to ensure timeline and milestones are achieved
- Synthesize business problems, identify strategic options, define outcomes, and gain consensus among senior leadership on key IOC initiatives
- Schedules, conducts, and oversees product complex reviews and testing sessions with departmental subject matter experts and training personnel
- Be the conduit between the IOC department and internal/external stakeholders for technology evaluation, deployment, and updates
- Ensure clarity of business requirements from stakeholders to enable proper planning and design of new initiatives
- Develops, schedules and chairs project status briefings for oversight steering committees
- Manage adhoc projects as required – ranging from small requests to multi-year projects
- Develops and maintains annual budget and business plan for IOC Technology initiatives
- Supervises dispatchers and Business Technology Program Managers that assist in development and presentation of training material
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience/training
- 7+ years of experience in operations IT planning, dispatch, CLP, flight planning support, airport operations, cargo planning, or related field(s)
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Prior experience in IT operational experience in airline management, aviation management, or related field
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Strategic thinker who considers the broader corporate strategic planning objectives for technology & process improvement
- Self-starter who solicits input from several sources
- Ability to prioritize and navigate projects among competing priorities, both within and outside one's own organization
- Prior managerial or supervisory experience desired
- Proven project management experience
- Effective collaborator both across and outside the organization at all levels
- Knowledge and experience working closely with the FAA is required
- Experience in working with union represented team members and technical groups is desired
- Experience/Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to commercial air carriers
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure
