  • You will be a leader in the Pilot Readiness Technology team within the Pilot Technology Division. The Pilot Readiness product is an integral part of our airline operations, enabling us to optimize the way we train and qualify pilots to fly our airplanes.
  • You’ll be responsible for creating an environment in which software development squads deliver high-quality application solutions on time and meet customer expectations utilizing Agile and DevOps methodologies. You will foster an environment conducive to psychological safety, continuous learning, innovation, and process maturity.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with Product and IT leadership to understand and communicate vision and priorities
  • Lead, encourage, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of individuals with a diverse range of skills and experiences
  • Work with technical leaders to understand and uphold technology standards and goals to ensure quality, supportability, predictability, and visibility
  • Ensure that persistent product-aligned squads adhere to Agile principles and processes
  • Encourage continuous learning and sharing of new knowledge within the product, organization, and company
  • Manage and track budgets with squad leads and Finance
  • Manage production issues and support, communication, and coordination, as needed
  • Work extended hours occasionally, based on the needs of the initiative and the operation

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training in Technology, Information Systems, or related technical discipline 
  • 4 years of experience participating in delivery of solutions using Agile and DevOps
  • 4 years of experience leading initiatives or teams, either formally or informally
  • Proficiency and demonstrated experience in DevOps tools and practices, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, Agile methodologies, test-driven development, object-oriented programming, object-relational mapping, API management, and cloud development and administration


Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Experience leading a team of individuals with various levels of skills and experience in initiative delivery
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple work streams
