About The Job

This job is a member of the Guest Experience Products Team within the Marketing & Loyalty Division. This position will be responsible for developing products and strategy for American's Premium Ground Experience proposition, including our new Luxury Experiences initiative. This includes responsibility for our Five Star Service portfolio, and partnerships including BLADE helicopters and The Private Suite - as well as identifying new areas of strategic interest and focus for American.


Specifically, you'll do the following:

  • Engages frequently with our brand/partners (i.e. BLADE, The Private Suite), and our Ops/Finance/Legal teams to support our product development efforts
  • Communicates and coordinates closely with internal stakeholders (i.e. Premium Guest Services, Reservations) to ensure operational aspects of our product portfolio are being executed to standards as set by Marketing and a variety of stakeholders
  • Collates and analyzes reporting (financial and operational) to monitor performance to-date, validate decisions and support creation and investment in new products/services for premium guests
  • Monitors competitive OA and non-airline industry peers from a hospitality and premium-services standpoint
  • Some travel required


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to conceptualize and support strategic product development
  • Knowledge of competitive landscape and trends in the hospitality industry
  • Strong organizational skills/project management skills
  • Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships across multiple organizations and partners
  • Innovative and always thinking of new partners to enhance the ground experience to the next level
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to move quickly when quick turn requests are made by senior leaders
  • Ability to tell a story that’s supported by clean and accurate data
  • Ability to train and educate multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to budget and project additional revenue streams through new products with the help of finance
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with an airline and/or hospitality
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization
