About The Job

This job is a member of the Credit Union Team within the American Airlines Credit Union. ​This position will be responsible for design, administration and maintenance of American Airlines Credit Union's employee portal, "The Hub".


Essential Job Functions:

  • Manages the creation, administration, design and delivery of content on the Credit Union's intranet
  • Works with departments and branches to provide business solutions through the tools available on the Hub
  • Identifies, diagnoses and resolves problems, coordinating with the Technology liaison and vendor for appropriate resolution
  • Handles system updates on the intranet, including testing, resolving issues and providing training to impacted staff
  • Adheres to internal communication policies and branding guidelines, ensuring that processes and standards are applied consistently throughout portal
  • Supports timely, relevant, and high impact internal communication initiatives of ongoing organizational programs
  • Promotes engagement initiatives by creating graphics and assisting during events
  • Responds in a timely and collaborative manner to employee questions and technical issues
  • Provides portal related counsel and training as needed
  • Ensures the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act
  • Performs other duties, as assigned


Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience


  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience

  • 2 years of work experience relevant to the nature of the described job duties; a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or Computer Sciences may be considered in lieu of two years of the work experience
  • Prior experience in employee communications or journalism
  • Working website design experience and basic HTML knowledge

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
  • Skilled in proficient use of Adobe Photoshop
  • Knowledge of Credit Union’s vision and mission and be able to integrate them into communication materials
  • Knowledge of Credit Union functional areas, products & services and policies & procedures
  • Ability to demonstrate well developed and proven problem solving, analytical and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a professional and collaborative manner with people of varying backgrounds and levels and securing cooperation and buy-in
  • Ability to demonstrate strong time management, project management and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks that may involve competing priorities
  • Ability to apply knowledge and experience to long term tactical projects within and outside core work group
  • Ability to periodically support some functions of fellow Employee Communications and Engagement team members
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to function as an integral part of a team while maintaining positive energy
  • Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel overnight
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
  • Ability to pass applicable American Airlines pre-hire compliance checks
  • Must have an acceptable credit history, which will be verified


Language & Communication Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels both verbally and written
