This job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for providing oversight and leading the teams responsible for deposit products and their related functions. Manager will support the VP of Deposit Programs & Growth to drive results and achieve key objectives for deposit programs, membership initiatives and growth strategic efforts.
What you'll do
- Lead the execution of deposit product strategies with a strong emphasis on operational excellence and delivering exceptional member experiences
- Direct operational functions, manage key vendor relationships and provide departmental budget oversight for areas of responsibility
- Contribute to the planning of deposit product development, delivery and marketing strategies
- Assist in monitoring and guiding membership growth efforts to ensure alignment with organizational objectives
- Work closely with leaders across the organization to successfully drive and implement project initiatives
- Ensure operations remain effective and efficient through periodic review of policies and procedures, accurate reporting, and proactive process improvements as needed
- Evaluate deposit product performance against key metrics to identify opportunities for enhancements and deliver actionable recommendations
- Cultivate a collaborative team environment providing support and continued staff development
- Perform other duties as assigned
- The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions
- Demonstrated previous supervisory or leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Previous banking or Credit Union industry experience
- Previous project management and product ownership experience
- Knowledge of deposit product operations and related requirements
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience or education and hands-on use of the software
- Ability to demonstrate strong organizational, critical thinking, writing, analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and effectively implement change
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the application of the core system, third party systems, related policies and procedures to departmental areas
- Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and exercise effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management
- Ability to demonstrate excellent people management and employee engagement skills, including leading, developing, coaching and motivating staff
- Ability to supervise multiple team members and foster a positive and engaging teamwork environment
- Ability to demonstrate strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks that may involve competing priorities
- Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
- Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
