This job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for the management and development of the Credit Union’s Fraud Risk Data Analysts, fraud risk data, and processes used to store and analyze both member and operational transaction data related to loss mitigation.

What you'll do

  • Lead Fraud Risk Data Analysts and Loss Mitigation organization in the gathering, validating, developing and reporting of fraud-related data
  • Create standards for the team, data extracts, analysis, reports, etc. as well as associated internal policies and procedures
  • Provide Loss Mitigation team member training to maximize employee understanding and usage
  • Work with other business units to validate data integrated into fraud risk data, reports, etc.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports to support projects, meetings, procedural changes, etc. 
  • Build management dashboards for presenting data analysis and trends
  • Review, validate and troubleshoot management dashboards  and other reporting for trends, issues and anomalies
  • Drive change by streamlining processes, reducing duplication, promoting automation and looking for synergies
  • Attend meetings and work with management and business unit employees throughout the Credit Union to leverage information and data for decision making
  • Serve as a key leader on Loss Mitigation projects in coordination with Business Technology, Data Analytics and other business teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his / her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions
  • Experience in data analysis, working in an environment with multiple systems and sources of information and presenting insights

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Previous successful management / leadership experience
  • Education or experience in accounting, bookkeeping and G/L reconciliations
  • Experience with accounting, bookkeeping and VISA DPS software, its application and reports
  • Experience in SQL script development, preferably in an MS SQL Server environment
  • Experience in Credit Union software such as Episys, Synapsys, Q2 process development and implementation

 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
  • Knowledge of Credit Union products, systems and current databases
  • Ability to demonstrate above average organizational, oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive business relationships and foster teamwork
  • Capacity to promote the benefits of change and lead others to participate in problem solving and process improvement 
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
  • Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
