This job is a member of the Tech Ops Division withing the Line Maintenance organization. As a Line Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll provide daily routine and non-routine line maintenance for American Airlines and any customer airlines.
What you'll do
- Accomplish line maintenance and troubleshooting on several aircraft types: B787 and B777
- Comply with safety directives and adopting safe work methods
- Provide airside coverage for all AA and other airlines handled by AA
- Carry out all compliance checks and remedial work in a timely fashion
- Complete an accurate and comprehensive record of all works undertaken
- Carry out field trips or other short-term assignments where applicable
- Work in all disciplines of aircraft maintenance and perform extensive troubleshooting on your own
- Ensure rules and regulations of FAA and other agencies and authorities are complied with
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Have commercial aviation experience and comprehensive knowledge of commercial aviation maintenance
- Have mandatory comprehensive maintenance experience
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload
- Have superior technical, analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Be adaptable to change
- Be able to work with minimum supervision
- Ability and willingness to work outside in all weathers and to work in a shift environment (including weekends, late evenings, bank and public holidays)
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be proactive in maintaining and improving their skill set
- Have a proactive approach to all assigned and undertaken work
- Willingness to occasionally travel, both planned and unscheduled, in supporting other European stations when required
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English and French
- Ability to obtain an airport pass (TCA) for unescorted airside access
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Qualifications and experience on B787 and B777 types will be an advantage
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license or a valid EASA B1 license
- Valid driving license
- Valid passport
