This job is a member of the Refunds Team within the Finance Division.  It is responsible for working with management, end-users and other AA team members to answer data related questions, address concerns, and coordinate enhancements to support refunds and corporate projects. You will be involved in identifying issues, proposing solutions, coordinating and contributing to the implementation of proposed solutions.

What you'll do
  • Ongoing analysis and advice on departmental changes, company initiatives and industry mandates
  • Communication with end-users of Refunds data regarding questions/ concerns about RAC data/projects
  • Communicate with IT and Automation for troubleshooting and problem solving related to systems and applications; provide refund accounting support to IT as needed
  • Develop automation solutions for process enhancements including testing and implementation
  • Assist managers as needed for special projects and report creation
  • Analyze trends and provide statistical reporting to senior management, government entities, and vendors
  • Provide feedback via statistical reporting to various teams with regard to customer issues, complaints, and DOT compliance

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • High School diploma or GED Equivalency
  • 4 years related work experience in similar field/position
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and SQL
  • Self-starter with proven track record of demonstrating analytical aptitude 
  • General knowledge of accounting principles

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Experience with SAS, ACL and Business Intelligence tools 
  • Ability to independently identify issues, conduct research, analyze data and propose solutions
  • Leadership and organizational skills

  • Ability to build alliances & reach effective solutions across multiple departments
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple dependencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must have the ability to understand and explain complex systems and be effective working as a liaison between technical and non-technical groups
  • The successful applicant will have an aptitude for problem identification and resolution including securing inter-departmental and intra-departmental cooperation
  • Ability to manage multiple relationships and projects, prioritizes opportunities, and take initiative towards achieving common goal
  • Attention to detail and an ability to understand complex, interrelated elements are necessary
  • Capable of effectively working with people of varying backgrounds and levels
  • Significant and demonstrated analytical ability. Must be able to independently identify a problem area, sift through multiple data sources and develop a sound analysis framework and present resulting recommendations to senior management
  • Refined PC skills
  • Willingness to show initiative and take ownership of job responsibilities
