• Responsible for the oversight of Inflight Training program curriculum development.
What you'll do
- Leads the team responsible for the development of Inflight training programs, including regulatory and non-regulatory
- Responsible for the company’s FAA-approved Advanced Qualification Program (AQP), including documentation, courseware, and equipment manual approvals and maintenance
- Analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual AQP data within SMS process to drive continuous improvement in flight attendant performance, including making recommendations for updated policies and training
- Acts as a point of contact with government agencies for program content and approvals
- Conducts training needs assessments and formulates recommendations of learning solutions
- Oversees the evaluation of program/course quality and effectiveness and recommends changes as required
- Communicates (verbally and in writing) with other training, support and operational departments to ensure consistency and accuracy of material/content
- Oversees Inflight Training projects to ensure objectives and milestones are met
- Develops and identifies project timelines, goals and stakeholders
- Oversees preparation and presentation of training programs, learner satisfaction surveys and on-line/web-based courses
- Develops and oversees training, eLearning, media, video production, and release
- Evaluates program/course quality and effectiveness and recommend changes as required
- Works with other department leaders to identify business challenges and create learning solutions to address challenges
- Updates senior leadership on project milestones
- Collaborates with other leaders to complete justifications for upcoming projects and initiatives
- Coordinates internal/external audit preparation and presentations for Infight Training (e.g., IOSA, DOD, IEP)
- Performs additional functions as assigned which may include development and maintaining Inflight training materials, course outlines, lesson plans, training aids, tests, publications and other course related material according to department standards
- Ability to travel at least 25% as appropriate
All you'll need for success
• Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or other business-related fields or equivalent work experience
- 10 years’ experience in corporate training and program development
- 5 years structured instructional/program development experience in adult education with curriculum development in instructor-led programs and web-based/distance learning digital channels
- Strong curriculum design and multi-platform delivery methods knowledge and experience
- Experience interfacing with departments and external agencies (i.e. FAA, DOT, TSA and Labor Unions)
- Knowledge of FAA and international training regulations, including FAA N&O and AQP training requirements and related guidance.

- Masters of Education or Instructional Design Degree
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and associated guidance and the ability to interpret and apply regulations
• Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, or other rapid content development tools
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems, functionality, administration and user interface
- Strong aptitude for working with other departments including corporate learning, finance, base operations, etc.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Must be able to work with deadlines, multiple projects, attend and conduct meetings and presentations, work odd hours and weekends as necessary
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop direct reports
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Ability to meet budgetary guidelines
- Ability to write and deliver presentations to all levels of management, including senior leadership
- Ability to follow instructions, processes and procedures
Ability to correct and resolves issues/problems in processes with the help of existing procedures, norms and processes - Ability to modify existing processes by correcting problems, resolving issues and updating existing work methods
